The sun finally came out and shone on us – we left Lake Bled and the stoney campground at around 9am and headed to Ljubjana, about 60kms,
We had decided to go back there and buy some new sleeping bags and waterproof stuff cover – the sleeping bag Carolyn bought the day before was one of those ultra small ones and wasn't warm enough for her so we posted that back to our friend in Germany and bought some thicker ones ( still only $40 each!) and a bright yellow stuff sac to go on the top box – good for safety I reckon as the driving standards hgere are not great – they seem to always be on my side of the road – and I am driving on the right.
Anyway we got all that done and called in to Skocjan caves on the way to the Adriatic – those caves are amazing – about 7kms in length and 500m underground – no glow worms though but lots of stalactites and stalagmites – we caught the 2pm tour which must have been one of the largest – about 200 people speaking all different languages.
The next stop was Fiesa where we have stayed for 2 nights – its a campsite near to the picturesque beachside town on Piran – you'll see the photos of this – we are squeezed in like sardines in our tent but its right next to the beach and the facilities are good. We spent today swimming and wandering around Piran, taking photos and watching the sunbathers – lots of speedos, beer guts, topless women and even a nudist beach on the walk to Piran. Its a beautiful spoty and the weather today has been kind – 28 degrees and sunny – time to get our washing and the tent all dried. And recharge the batteries before we head into Croatia.

Hi, sounds like your having a great trip, am enjoying reading the blog, keep it up....expect a few more beach pic's though!! cheers Kev
